Caramelised Onion and Potata Gratin![]() ![]() 3 Tablespoons olive oil 3 Tablespoons butter 2 onions, sliced 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 cup water 1/2 cup white wine 2 tsp sugar 1 kg precooked potatoes 2 Mill Orchard apples, finely sliced 1/2 cup cheese, grated Heat butter and oil in a fry pan over a medium heat. Add onions, Mill Orchard apples, garlic and oregano and sauté until onion is golden brown. Remove from the heat and add the water, wine and sugar; bring to the boil. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Combine the potatoes and onion mixture in a large bowl, gently toss to combine. Carefully tip the gratin mixture into a large greased baking dish and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Bake at 200oC for about 25 minutes or until golden. BACK ![]() ![]() |
